2.1.2 General MRIdian® System Safety
The MRIdian system is a radiation therapy device with an
integrated magnetic resonance (MR) system for imaging. Improper
use of the MRIdian system can result in serious injury or death. Be
sure to read and understand
all the safety information.
It is the responsibility of the Radiation Oncology site to ensure that applicable
national, state and local requirements, regulations, and ordinances affecting the
MRIdian® System equipment and its radionuclide are met. Specific questions about
regulatory requirements should be directed to your Authority Having Jurisdiction,
the site Physicist of Record, and the Radiation Safety Officer.
When operating the MRIdian system always follow the procedures and monitoring
requirements established by your facility’s Radiation Safety Officer.
