2.17 Fire Safety in the Treatment Room
In the event of fire, the fire has to be extinguished with methods safe in an MR environment.
Firefighters must be able to take appropriate MR-safe actions immediately. Your local
firefighting responders must be familiar with your MR system, its location, and the specialized
firefighting techniques necessary for safety in an MR environment.
Before initial start-up of the MRIdian® system, the facility using the
system is responsible for informing the fire department about the MR
system and the hazards of using magnetizable objects.
