Non-magnetic CO
2
extinguisher
Self-contained, non-magnetic compressed air respiratory apparatus
Airtight chemical protective suit
2.18 Measurement Phantom Safety
Phantoms are filled with water-based nickel sulfate solutions. Other
components may include sodium chloride, sodium phosphate buffers, as
w
ell as copper sulfate, lactates and acetates.
The fluids are sealed in the measurement phantoms. When measurement
phantoms are
used as intended, within the scope of quality assessments of
the RF coils, there is no physical contact with measurement phantom fluids.
2.18.1 Contact with Phantom Fluid Spills
When handling phantom fluid spills wear protective clothing
(gloves, work coat, goggles). and follow the listed precautions:
Wear a mask with a filter for anorganic vapors if aerosols (inhalable droplets)
are formed.
