8.6 Calculation problems
8.6.1 VVS LE set point is calculated on the wrong side of the
material
Problem:
Bad centered breaker material due to an angle sign opposite to the actual angle:
Cause 1:
The camera direction does not correspond with the material transport direction.
Solution 1:
The E&L camera used by VVS has an arrow on top. Make sure this arrow points in the
same direction as the transport direction.
Cause 2:
The angle sign sent from the HMI to VVS does not reflect the actual angle.
Description:
Depending on the angle which is sent by the HMI to VVS, VVS assumes a direction where
to expect the material edge. When the angle sign is opposite to the actual angle, VVS
calculates a set point opposite to the actual material edge.
Solution 2:
Adjust the angle sign in the HMI.
Depending on the tip position of the breaker, the angle should be positive or negative. The
illustration shows what the angle sign should be. When material angle is positive, the
