8.5 Guiding problems
8.5.1 VVS is not guiding the Breaker material
Problem:
Bad centered breaker material on the drum, due to VVS not guiding the material.
Cause:
Due to a disturbance which is seen by the camera, VVS is not able to center the breaker
material.
Description:
When a breaker is prepared, the PLC sends the center command to VVS. VVS goes into
center mode. When VVS detects material it starts the centering cycle. When no more
material is seen it closes the centering cycle. In case of a disturbance (wire on the
conveyor, dirt on LED light), VVS starts the centering cycle because the camera sees the
disturbance. When no more material is visible VVS closes the centering cycle (VVS sends
the centering ready status to the PLC). Then the actual breaker material is moved under
the camera and VVS will not guide the material, because it just finished the centering cycle
and waits for a new PLC command.
