4.3 VVS Software
VVS software consists of:
● The VVS Controller (VVSX)
● The VVS User Interface (VVSU)
VVSX
The VVS Controller (VVSX) controls the monitoring functions and the material center
movements. To establish this correctly, VVSX exchanges information with the PLC.
On the other side VVSX communicates with the camera and the actuator that is taking care
of the actual movements.
VVSX runs on the VVS Controller and VVSX must be configured to meet the needs of
the machine type and the needs of the communication form and type of PLC.
NOTICE
VVSX is copyright protected and only works with a dongle installed.
VVSU
The VVS User Interface (VVSU) is the user interface for VVS. VVSU communicates with
VVSX via Ethernet.
VVSU is used for:
● Handling system parameters, calibration parameters and product parameters
● Calibration and tuning
● Diagnostics and troubleshooting
● Logging
● Testing
In general, VVSU runs on a maintenance Laptop or the HMI IPC, but for service purposes it
is also installed on the VVS Controller.
NOTICE
VVSU has no copy protection.
Copies of the program may be used without license agreement.
