Example of a measurement section:
Legend Description
[Measurement] For each breaker, the following measurements can be
defined:
● LVAL = left-hand edge position [0.1 mm]
● RVAL = right-hand edge [0.1 mm]
● WIDTH = breaker width [0.1 mm]
● ERROR = position error [0.01 mm]
VAL_ADDRESS Defines the the average value address for the measurement.
The address definition lines are similar to the command
address definition lines (refer to OPC Server wrapper address
definition on page 3
‑
8).
STDV_ADDRESS Defines the the standard deviation address for the
measurement.
The address definition lines are similar to the command
address definition lines (refer to OPC Server wrapper address
definition on page 3
‑
8).
UNIT Defines the unit for the measurement registers (mandatory).
Valid values are:
● DISTANCE
● SAMPLE_COUNT
UNIT_VAL Defines resolution for the measurement registers (mandatory):
● UNIT=DISTANCE, defines the interval for measured
values in [mm].
● UNIT=SAMPLE_COUNT, defines the interval in camera
samples [1 sample / 5 ms].
In the example, an averaged left edge position value and
a standard deviation are sent to the PLC per 10 mm of
breaker 2.
Example:
With UNIT=SAMPLE_COUNT and UNIT_VAL=200, after
each 200 camera samples (every 1 second), the
measurement values are sent. This configuration is intended
for systems that do not use an encoder.
