6.4.1 Heat exchanger
Both models of the RSWs use 2 different exchangers, the RSW40 uses the brazed model and the RSW80 the plate model.
The plates, in the heat exchangers, are widely known for their effectiveness, low cost, great flexibility, and easy maintenance. The secret of this
model of heat exchanger is its corrugated plates, which provoke a turbulent flow making the heat exchange extremely efficient and reduces
incrustation. The plates are designed to provide turbulence throughout the entire heat exchange area.
The heat exchanger plates consist of a series of thin corrugated plates sealed to prevent leakage and mixing the fluids from different circuits.
The plates are pressed between two pressure plates and are guided by two bars to keep them aligned between the plates. The fluid from the
two circuits flows interspersed through the plates and counter-current, thereby providing a large area for heat exchange between the circuits.
The brazed exchanger is also made from thin corrugated plates, but the plates are brazed making it impossible to disassemble and perform
maintenance (cleaning). The fluids from the two circuits flow interspersed between the plates and counter-current, providing a large area for
heat exchange between the circuits.
6.4.2 Flow sensor
This component monitors the speed of the flow of liquids and gases, it can be adjusted according to the need and it supplies a signal to identify
if the flow is below or above the setting. The indication can also be seen on the display of the respective gauge.
6.4.3 Pressure Transmitter
The pressure transmitter model MBS 1700 monitors the internal pressure in a range between 0 to 10 bar and it sends a signal from 4 to 20
mA used for controlling the system.
6.4.4 Temperature Transmitter
The temperature transmitter model MBT 3560 monitors the internal temperature of the system between -50º C (-58º F) to 200º C (392º F) and
sends a signal from 4 to 20 mA used for controlling the system.
