6 Trouble Shooting
6.1 Troubles and Their Corrective Measures
6.1.1 Troubles with image acquisition
These troubles should be appropriately addressed according to the corrective measures
described in "Corrective measures for troubles with image acquisition".
Corrective measures for troubles with image acquisition
Symptom Possible cause Action
Enlarged and blurred
anterior tooth area
Images are enlarged and blurred. The
anterior tooth area has been shifted at
the back of the anterior tooth tomographic
area and the distance between the sensor
and the patient is too long.
Adjust the tomographic position using
Image Creator.
Shift the sensor several millimeters
backward using the Back switch in
positioning.
Reduced and blurred
anterior tooth area
Images are reduced and blurred. The
anterior tooth area has been shifted at the
anterior of the anterior tooth tomographic
area and the distance between the sensor
and the patient is too short.
Adjust the tomographic position using
Image Creator.
Shift the sensor several millimeters
forward using the Forward switch in
positioning.
Blurred left or right
molar tooth
The center of the chin rest block does not
agree the patient's midsagittal line.
Align the center of the chin rest block with
the patient's midsagittal line.
The head does not face front. Ask the patient to face front.
Whitish and blurred
anterior tooth area
With the oblique cervical spine, X-ray is
absorbed leading to a shadow formed on
the anterior tooth area.
Check the “ASC” box in Image Creator
and formulate the image.
Modify the level of “Prog No. 05” in User
Program Mode.
Ask the patient to hold up his/her head.
Image is unclear due to
the white horizontal line
appears on the apexes
of the maxillary tooth
roots.
The image of the plate bone overlaps with
the image of tooth roots.
Ask the patient to incline slightly the
face forward until the frankfurt plane is
positioned horizontally.
Severalnelines
appear on the image.
Insufcientdose
Increase the dose to acquire correct
images.
The X-ray beam deviates from the given
path.
Contact your dealer.
No image has been
acquired
Image Creator is not in Acquisition
standby status.
Switch Image Creator to Acquisition
standby status.
The data cable has not been correctly
connected to the PC.
Connect the cable correctly to the PC.
The sensor is not responding to the X-ray.
Check the image by Single image
radiography for maintenance purpose.
The sensor does not respond to the X-ray
X-ray response can be checked by using
single acquisition for maintenance.
Failed unit Contact your dealer.
No operation activated
No power is supplied to the unit. Plug in the power cable into the outlet.
The circuit breaker has tripped. Reset the breaker.
The power switch has been turned off (O). Turn the power switch on ( | ).
Failed unit Contact your dealer.
