2.5.5.9 Adjusting the chin rest height
* Caution
• Be sure to ask the patient to wear an X-ray protective apron and the child patient to
wear both X-ray protective apron and a thyroid shield.
• Ask the patient to remove eye glasses and accessories prior to X-ray exposure.
Otherwise,theymaybereectedontheimages.
• Ensure that the patient's hair, especially when hair is tied up, does not come in contact
with the equipment. It may cause injury of the patient.
• Ask the patient to keep away from the equipment until the arm unit of the equipment has
been reset. Otherwise, the patient may be caught by the arm unit and be injured.
• Do not rotate the arm unit manually. Otherwise, the patient may be caught by the arm
unit and be injured. Failure may occur in the equipment as well.
Seat the patient and move the chin rest unit
up and down to adjust the bite plate to the
height of patient's mouth. Press the Up/
Down switch on the control panel to move
the chin rest unit up and down.
* Caution
• Ask the patient to keep away from the equipment until the height of the equipment has
been successfully adjusted. If not, the patient may be hit by the equipment, being injured.

Ask the patient to bite the bite plate along
with the impression material.
