STPConfiguration
STPOverview
SpanningTreeProtocol(STP)isapplicabletoaloopnetwork.It
blockssomeredundantpathswithcertainalgorithmssothatthe
loopnetworkisprunedintoatreenetworkwithoutanyloop,thus
avoidingthehyperplasiaandinniteloopofpacketsintheloop
network.
RapidSpanningTreeProtocol(RSTP)isonthebasisofcommon
STP ,addedwiththemechanismthattheportstatecanberapidly
changedfromBlockingtoForwarding,whichincreasesthetopol-
ogyconvergencespeed.
MultipleSpanningTreeProtocol(MSTP)isonthebasisofRSTPand
STP ,addedwiththeforwardingprocessingofframeswithVLAN
ID.Thewholenetworktopologystructurecanbeplannedintoa
CommonandInternalSpanningTree(CIST),whichisdividedinto
CommonSpanningTree(CST)andInternalSpanningTree(IST),
asshowninFigure49.
ManydevicesenablingMSTPconstructMSTareainswitchingnet-
work.Whenthedevicessatisfythefollowingconditions,theycan
