theconnectionsarecorrect.
2.SettheIPaddressoftheEthernetportontheswitch.Setthe
IPaddressofthebackgroundhostusedforupgrade.Thetwo
IPaddressesmustbeinthesamenetworksegmentsothatthe
hostcanpingtheswitch.
3.StarttheTFTPserversoftwareonthebackgroundhostand
congureitbyreferringtoFTPConguration.
4.Ontheswitch,usethecommandshowversiontocheckthe
informationofcurrentoperatingversion.
5.Enterthelesystemcongurationmodeandexecutethecom-
mandremovetodeletetheoldversionleintheFLASHmem-
ory.IftheFLASHmemoryhassufcientspace,changethe
nameoftheoldversionleandkeepitintheFLASHmemory.
