3.Thegroundingsystemwithgoodgroundgridispreferredfor
theswitch.Alotofresidentialbuildingswithpropergrounding
haveagroundingresistanceof1ohm.Ifthetestshowsthat
groundingsystemisnotsatised,itisrecommendedtoequip
anindependentgroundingpostandthegroundingcablemust
be16mm

indiameterandasshortaspossible.Whichever
groundingmethodisused,thegroundingresistancemustbe
lessthan5ohmandcannotexceed10ohm.
4.Itisprohibitedthattheswitchdirectlygetsthepowerfrom
theoutdooroverheadpowercable.Iftheswitchmustdirectly
getthepowerfromtheoutdooroverheadpowercable,spe-
ciallightningprotectionmeasures,suchaslightningprotec-
tionsocketandlightningprotectionbar ,mustbeaddedtothe
powersupply.Thelightningprotectionbarforthepowersup-
plymusthavebetterlightningprotectionindexthanthatfor
theportcable.
5.WhethertheEthernetswitchwillsufferlightningstrikeisaf-
fectedbyalotoffactors,includinggrounding,powersup-
ply,andwiring.Thelightningstrikelead-inmechanismalso
variesalot.T akingonemeasureisfarfromenoughtopre-
ventthelightningstrike.Therefore,severalmeasuresmust
beimplementedatthesametime.Propergrounding,appro-
priatepowersupply,reasonablewiring,andsuitablelightning
protectionmeasureswilldenitelyreducethechanceofthe
switchdamageresultedfromlightingstrike.
