thebridgebetweenthenetworkandfamilyuser ,andnowitisthe
bottlenecktolimitthenetworkdevelopment.
TheformeraccessingtechnologiessuchasT1/E1orSONET/SDH
costtoomuch,andopticalaccessingtechnologiessuchasCable
Modemrequireshighcostofnetworkconstructing,wirelessac-
cessingtechnologyisrestrictedbyenvironmentandsecurityand
isnoteasytolaunch.
PassiveOpticalNetwork(PON)isanaccessingtechnology,which
guaranteestheusertoobtainenoughaccessingbandwidthand
controlsthenetworkconstructioncosteffectively.

PONisapurephysicalmedianetwork,theactivedeviceisnot
