￭ DC-side components
Frame R5i inverter modules are connected to the DC bus through individual fuses. The
fuses are installed on fuse bases that can be opened under no load. Microswitches are
used for monitoring the open/closed state of the fuse bases. The fuse bases listed below
include the microswitches as standard.
A main DC switch/disconnector and DC fuses for all the modules in the same enclosure
can optionally be added. The main DC fuses are typically used to protect against short-circuits
in the DC path to the module fuses when a high-power supply unit is used.
DC bus installation parts (for Rittal VX25 enclosures)
The brackets in this kit act as a mounting base for the busbar supports of the Rittal Flat-PLS
DC bus and ensure its correct placement and alignment inside the cabinet line-up.
Note:
The designs presented in this manual for Rittal VX25 enclosures employ the Rittal Flat-PLS
busbar system. Make sure that the current carrying capability of the busbars is not exceeded
at any point of the drive system.
