IBM 3153
Set Up Mode
At any point during normal operations (i.e., PASSWORD screen, system
prompt, menu, program), you can enter the set up mode for the terminal. To
do this, hold down the Ctrl key and press Scroll Lock.
There are 12 menus of values corresponding to the function keys F1 through
F12. The keys are labeled at the top of each menu. Press the function key to
select the desired menu. Use the arrow keys to select a field within the menu
(highlighted selection bar) and Enter or Shift-Enter (or Space Bar and
Shift-Space Bar) to cycle up or down through the choices for a given field.
See the default parameters below.
After making changes to the set up values, press Ctrl-Scroll Lock. The
computer displays
Save All (Y/N). You can enter one of the following:
Y = Exit setup and save all settings.
C = Cancel the exit request.
N = Exit setup. The changes will take effect but will be lost if the
terminal is reset or turned off (except for function keys and
answerback message programming which are saved regardless of
the way you exit setup).
