Menu Selection
With the printer’s “Menu Select” mode, you can print a list or “menu” of
features available and then select the ones you want to change using the
printer’s control panel buttons. These features remain selected even if you
turn your printer off.
Before beginning, make sure the printer has ribbon and the paper is loaded.
Function Action Comments
Enter Menu Select Press PRINT In the Menu Select Mode, the functions written
mode QUALITY and
below the buttons are active. The menu contains
CHARACTER a number of groups. Within each group is a list
PITCH. Of items and each of those items has several
settings.
Print current menu Press PRINT. Prints a list of groups, items, and settings which
indicate what the current settings are. Use this
list to find your way around the menu.
Move to next group Press GROUP. Pressing GROUP again goes to the next group,
cycling through all groups.
Move to next item Press ITEM. This moves between items in a group.
Change a selection Press SET. This cycles through the settings for an item.
Press SET until you come to the setting you want
(see the standard printer settings below). Then
press ITEM to move to the next item.
Exit Menu Select mode Press EXIT. This saves your changes and exits the menu.
