Terminal Trouble Shooting
This section presents standard trouble-shooting information for terminals.
The following procedure outlines the steps you should take if you have a
terminal (CRT) failure.
Procedure:

<Ctrl> S may be activated. Press <Ctrl> Q to deactivate <Ctrl> S.
2 Check that it is plugged in and turned on.
3 Check all cable connections (back of terminal, wall jacks, back of computer).
4 Make sure contrast knob is turned up.
5 Make sure keyboard is plugged in securely to terminal base.
6 Turn terminal off and on to reset defaults.
7 Check that the terminal beeps when you turn it on. If not, check fuse and
change if necessary.
8 Check set up defaults and change as necessary.
9 Move terminal to a working terminal port to verify that the terminal is bad
and not the port. If the port is bad, call Dimensions hardware support.
10 If possible, re-boot the system. All users must be signed off the system.
11 Call Dimensions hardware support after trying
all of the above.
