Part 2: Menus
The latest version of the menus comes set up on your system. Menus are tied
to passwords. Certain passwords will get you to certain menus. The
Dimensions Main Menu contains all the different modules such as Point of Sale,
Inventory, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and so on. Not everybody
needs access to all of these areas. Especially during your installation phase,
you will be using different passwords and menus than you will in regular,
day-to-day use. Your implementation specialist will go over the passwords
and menus thoroughly. Be sure to ask any questions you may have.
Like passwords, menus can be changed as well. You could design customized
menus but you need to keep track of the changes you make. When
Dimensions sends out program update and software releases, we may send
the menu file again to accommodate new programs. If you have changed
your menus, be sure you can recreate them.
From the
Dimensions Main Menu, select 8 for System Manager. Then select 5 for
System Functions. Then select 2 for Menu Maintenance. The computer displays
following menu:
