Set Up Mode
At any point during normal operations (i.e., PASSWORD screen, system
prompt, menu, program), you can enter the set up mode for the terminal. To
do this, hold down the Shift key and press Set Up.
The computer displays the first level of set up parameters across the bottom
of the screen in bars of reverse video. Use the arrow keys to move to a field
or display the next level of set up parameters. Press the Space Bar to
display the next selection for a field or Esc to call the default response. See
the default parameters below. Parameters shown in bold type can be either
response.
After making changes to the set up values, press the Shift key and Set Up
simultaneously. The computer asks:
SAVE CHANGES FOR POWER-ON?
Enter Y to save all changes except those made to the function key definitions
or A to save all changes including function keys. Or to quit without saving
the changes, press a key other than Y or A.

Function Key Setup
The first step before attempting to set up a function key is to sit down at a
terminal in the program you are going to use. Enter the data as you
normally would, however, write down
every keystroke. Do not assume the
computer knows what you are entering.
Once you have written down each keystroke, check it using the program
again. Once this is correct, use the following steps to set up the function
keys.
1 Press the Shift key and Set Up simultaneously.
2 Press the Funct key to take you to the function keys.
3
F1= appears at the bottom of the screen. This is for the F1 function key. Do
not program the F1 function key. It is used in SDEDIT and EDIT and cannot
be used for anything else. Press the actual function key you want to program
(F2 through F16).
