Appendix C
0 = Use last cost as market cost (replacement
cost). When last cost changes as items are
received, market cost changes as well. This is
the most common market cost basis.

even though you have average and market
cost set up.
4 = Gross margin includes discount using average
cost.
Average cost + discount = market cost
5 = Gross margin includes discount using last

Last cost + discount = market cost
6 = Gross margin includes discount using
List/Base.
List/Base + discount = market cost
16. Conv Factor
1. Enter the multiplication factor (9999.9999)
needed to convert to a different unit of measure
other than each. For example:
Board Feet = Number of board feet in one unit
thickness x width x length
12
Examples:
2x4x8 = 5.3334
2x4x12 = 8.0000
Square Feet = Number of square feet in one unit
width x length
Example:
4x8 = 32.0000
Lineal Feet = Number of lineal feet in one unit
Examples:
10’ piece = 10.0000
16’ piece = 16.0000
Others = Any other item requiring a conversion
factor
Examples:
Roll of insulation of 83-1/3 sq. ft. = 83.3334
Ceiling tile of 40 sq. ft. per box = 40.0000
2. On type 2 items, you must enter a conversion
factor for 1 foot.
3. Leave this field blank if there is no conversion
factor for this item and you wish the item to be
priced and controlled by each.
