Cost Percent=0 and Mkt Cst Bas=3, POS will ask you
to enter a cost for this item even though you have
average and market cost set up.

Cost Percent is used for the following situations:
- Special orders (windows, cabinets, doors,
trusses)
- Miscellaneous items
- Used until the item is being received through the
Receiving system
19. Second Desc 1. Enter up to 31 characters to be used as a second
line of item description. This description will be
displayed at Point of Sale as a message line on the
screen only and on the inventory inquiry.
2. The second description is useful if the main
description is lengthy or complicated or to suggest
related items to be purchased.
3. This works on selected POS print programs only
(11” plain paper cash/charge quotes and orders).

20. Second Desc Use 1. Enter 9 if you wish the second description entered
in
19. Second Desc to be printed on POS tickets. Or
leave blank to not print on the tickets.
2. This works on selected POS print programs only

you wish to request custom print programs for
invoices and/or quote and order pre-printed forms.
21. Unts p/Pkg 1. Enter the number of units in a package, if
applicable. For example, 12 tubes of caulk in a
case.
2. This is a memo field which will be displayed when
entering a purchase order or receipt.
22. EOQ 1. Economic Order Quantity. This is calculated
using a mathematical formula which balances the
cost of placing an order against the cost of
carrying the inventory in stock. When you reach
the re-order point, this is the optimum order
quantity. It is used in suggested orders and on
the Open to Buy reports as ordering options.
2. It is calculated during Calculate Min/Max/EOQ
and written here automatically. It is usually not
used until the inventory system has been running
6 months to a year.
3. This field comes from IM2.D, Inventory Store
Data.
23. Season Code Not currently used as a season code. Can be used
as a miscellaneous code to print reports using the
select optional field feature.
