5. There is a Variable File option in (Group
Information) to load LIFO cost the first time an
item is received (field 24
LIFO GROUP Y/N). This is
done at the group level.
39. List/Base 1. If price basis for the item is 0, 1, 3, 10, 11, or 13,
use this as the base figure in determining the
selling price to the customer. See
Price Basis. You
have two choices:
A. Put a list (retail) price in this field. Then use
the markdowns (use a negative sign) in
Price Adj
1
through Price Adj 9, by either percentage or
dollar amount, to arrive at the selling price for
each level.
B. Put the cost (market or replacement cost) in
this field. Then use the markups in
Price Adj 1
through
Price Adj 9 to arrive at the selling price
for each level.
2. If
Price Basis is 2 or 12, this field is not used. The
values in
Price Adj 1 through Price Adj 9 will contain
the actual prices.
3. List/Base is also referred to as List or LB.

40. Price Adj 1 1. The system allows for 9 price levels for each
inventory item. In addition, matrix pricing
provides for 90 more price levels, making a total
of 99 prices per item. A/R customers are assigned
a price level so that when they purchase items at
POS, the correct price is supplied automatically
by the computer. The price level in the customer’s
record corresponds to the price adjustments here.

Price Basis specified, the values
contained here are:

3. Enter up to 7.2 digits (+ or -) for the price
adjustment 1 (price level 1).
4. If this is a markdown item and there is no amount
entered for price adjustment, list/base will be used
for the price.

41. Price Adj 2 Enter a value for Price Adjustment 2 (price level 2).
