8 For 1/8- inch Swagelok fittings, use a pair of 7/16- inch
wrenches to tighten the fitting 3/4 of a turn (Figure 13).
For 1/4- inch fittings, use a pair of 9/16- inch wrenches
to tighten them 1- 1/4 turn (Figure 13).

9 Remove the plug from the fitting. To connect the tubing,
with nut and ferrules, to another fitting, finger- tighten the
nut, then use a wrench to tighten it 3/4 (1/8- inch fittings)
or 1- 1/4 (1/4- inch fittings) of a turn.
10 Both correctly- and incorrectly- swaged connections are
shown in Figure 14. Note that the end of the tubing in a
correctly- swaged fitting is not crushed and does not
interfere with the action of the ferrules.
