Module Features
The 1756-ENBT module’s features include:
• use EtherNet/IP messages encapsulated within standard
TCP/UDP/IP protocol
• common application layer with ControlNet and DeviceNet
• interfacing via Category 5 twisted pair cable
• Half/Full Duplex 10 Mbit or 100 Mbit operation
• removal or insertion under power
• number of modules per chassis limited only by chassis size
• communication to and from other ControlLogix modules in the
same chassis
• communication supported by RSLinx software
• configurable via RSLinx or standard BootP tools
• no network scheduling required
• no routing tables required
