Exposure & Gain
This secon contains various sengs regarding exposure, which is how much light the camera sensor accepts
per frame, and gain, which is a brightness seng controlling how dark “black” colors appear.
By default, the “Auto Exposure” box is cked, meaning the camera itself will automacally adjust these set-
ngs to compensate for dierent amounts of light coming from the microscope’s light source. The drawback of
the Auto Exposure feature is that it can cost a few frames per second as the camera is constantly adjusng the
exposure target and me, requiring addional processing me. Turning this o and manually seng the sliders
is recommended if you need faster frame rates from the camera, or the image does not appear at the desired
brightness level even aer adjusng the “Exposure Target.”
