4.11 Frame Rate and Exposure Menu
Push the FPS / EXP button (A) to switch to the frame rate and exposure menu.
In the fps menu the recording frame rate in frames per second (fps) and the exposure time
expressed in percent are defined. Select the respective item by turning the Select dial (Q), then
press the Select dial (Q) once. The arrow indicates the active item. By turning the Select dial (Q)
you change the settings. Confirm your settings by pressing the Select dial (Q) once.
FPS
In the FPS menu the recording frame rate in frames per second (fps) is defined.
1-350 fps in 8 bit mode
1-283 fps in 10 bit mode
Please note that it is necessary to set the camera to 8 bit mode in order to set higher rates
than 283 fps.
Shutter
In the Shutter menu the exposure time expressed in percent is defined
1-100%
A shutter at 100% uses maximum possible exposure time - A shutter value of 100% at 350fps
results in an exposure of 1/350s per frame.
Bit Depth
8 bits (for frame rates up to 350 fps)
10 bits (for frame rates up to 283 fps)
Play Mode
In the Play Mode menu the Video Out signal is set. Select the respective item by turning the Select
dial (K), then press the Select dial (K) once. The arrow indicates the active item. By turning the
Select dial (K) you change the settings. Confirm your settings by pressing the Select dial (K)
once.
Values are
Interlaced (50i) - plays out video sequence at doubled speed
Full Frame (25psf) - full slow motion playback at "normal" speed
Full Frame EXT (extended) - plays out video sequence at half speed
By choosing the Full Frame EXT setting it is possible to simulate a virtual slow motion
playback at up to 700fps.
