4.14 Automatic White Balance Button
Push the White Balance button (D) to enter white balance menu. Select the respective item by
turning the Select dial (Q), then press the Select dial (Q) once. The arrow indicates the active
item.
Automatic white balance procedure
1. Point your camera to a pure white subject, so that most of the frame is white. The subject
should be fairly matte, that is, non-reflective.
2. Set exposure and focus.
3. Push the White Balance button (D) to enter white balance menu
4. Activate the automatic white balance by selecting the Auto White menu item with the Select dial
(Q), then press the Select dial (Q) once.
5. The camera will analyze the image and set the white balance automatically. DONE! flashes once
in the display to indicate that the white balance has been successfully set.
Preset white balance
Presets are:
3200K Tungsten
4800K Fluorescent
5600K Daylight
6300K Daylight
7500K Daylight
Variable
Select the predefined preset by turning the Select dial (Q), then press the Select dial (Q) once to
set the white balance. LOADED! flashes once in the display to indicate that the white balance has
been successfully set.
Variable Mode
In custom mode it is possible to preset any custom color temperature between 2800K and 10.000K
in steps of 50 Kelvin manually.
Select the Custom menu item by turning the Select dial (Q), then press the Select dial (Q) once.
By turning the Select dial (Q) you change the settings. Confirm your settings by pressing the Select
dial (Q) once.
