5.8.3 Trigger Recording
Video is continuously recorded (buffered) into one of the memory banks . Triggering a recording
bank stops the recording in this memory bank, meaning the captured video sequence of this bank is
saved and ready for playout . To capture clips on the banks it is necessary to have empty banks on
the RCP. If all banks are in use, it is not possible to trigger anything. With at least one empty bank
the RCP automatically goes into record mode (red status). After pushing the Trigger Button (E) a
sequence of the last seconds is captured (duration depends on the available capture time). This clip
is then saved and immediately available for playback. Pushing the trigger button saves the sequence
to the bank which is in record mode and does not effect the simultaneous playout of an active bank.
You have to clear memory banks manually if all banks are full..
There are three triggering modes available: Standard, Loop and Full Auto mode, which can be
set in the workflow menu.
Standard Trigger
First select a memory bank by pressing the Select Memory Bank button (A) with the
corresponding number (1,2,3 or 4). In standard trigger mode activated banks are captured by
pushing the Trigger Button (E).The video clip in this bank is then saved and available for
playback . After triggering the filled banks have to be cleared in order to be used again.
To clear the memory banks push the Clear Bank/Lock Bank button (M) and the corresponding
Bank Number Button (A) simultaneously.
Loop Trigger
First select a memory bank by pressing the Select Memory Bank button (A) with the
corresponding number (1,2,3 or 4). In Loop Mode pushing the Trigger Button (E) saves always
the clip to the bank which is in record mode and switches to the next bank automatically. The video
clip in this bank is then saved and available for playback . The banks are not protected like in
standard mode. Pressing the Trigger Button (E) causes the following bank to be automatically
deleted. In order to protect a memory bank it has to be manually locked. Memory banks can be
locked by simultaneously pushing the Clear Bank/Lock Bank button (M) and the corresponding
Bank Number Button (A).
Full Auto Trigger
In this advanced mode, after pushing the Trigger Button (E), the clip is saved to the bank which is
in record mode and the playout starts automatically at a predefined number of frames back. (see
also A.Pl. and PST) After the playback is finished the according bank is automatically erased, the
buffer recording starts again and the memory bank is ready to be triggered again. This feature can
only be used with one memory bank.
Note! TheTrigger Button (E) is lit red while the camera is recording.
Note! Banks which are in use and therefor have the status Play cannot be deleted!
