Removing
– Remove the lower rear lid trim. Refer to Refer to ⇒ Body In‐
terior; Rep. Gr. 70 ; Removal and Installation
Roadster:
– Expose electrical wiring harness -1- on the line channel
-arrows-.
– Detach the control cable from mount -3-. Refer to
⇒ “2.4.1 Rear Lid“, page 59 .
– Remove control cable and line channel mount -2- from the rear
lid.
All vehicles:
– Disconnect the connector -1-.
– At the locations indicated by -arrows-, unscrew nuts -2-.
– Remove the lower part of the spoiler.
Installation
• For the correct tightening specifications, refer to
⇒ “2.3.1 Rear Spoiler Assembly Overview“, page 224 .
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
– Attach the control cable at the mount. Refer to
⇒ “2.4.1 Rear Lid“, page 59
– Install the lower rear lid trim. Refer to ⇒ Body Interior; Rep.
Gr. 70 ; Removal and Installation
3.6.2 Spoiler, Assembling

After painting, the spoiler of the TT RS is assembled from the
components shown in the assembly overview.

The spoiler is not designed for disassembly.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Instant adhesive -AMV 195 KD 101-
♦ Locking compound -D 000 006-
♦ Cleaning solution -D 009 401 04-
♦ 2K-plastic-adhesive -D 180 KU2 A1-
♦ 3 hex socket screws M6 x 5.5 mm
WARNING
Note the minimum curing time for the 2K-plastic-adhesive -D
180 KU2 A1- , refer to ⇒ page 246 .
