4.2 Ethernet
Based on Intels i210 ethernet controller the module provides a 1Gb Ethernet MDI with twisted pair signals for an external transformer.
The i210 includes a voltage mode line driver so it doesn’t require an analog powered center tap. Therefore Pin 15 GBE_CTREF specified in the
Qseven
®
specification 2.0 is not connected on the module.
The I210 has built in termination resistors. As a result, external termination resistors should not be used.
If only 10/100 Mbit/s is required, the unused MDI Pins can be left unconnected.
