Chapter 6 Frame and Carriage Assembly
Attach the Utility Manifold to the Frame
1) Locate the Utility Manifold also referred to as the Bulkhead.
2) Remove the Half Clamp on the Utility Manifold. Apply Anti-seize to the threads on the Clamp
bolts.
3) The Utility Manifold is to be attached to the Middle Frame Leg on the same side as the CAT
Track and Equipment Room.
4) Orient the Utility Manifold with the plate pointing toward the entrance and the 1/2" Main Air
Fitting on the top row, as shown below.
5) Position the Utility Manifold 4” below the Leg/Head Beam Bracket and secure it to the Leg
with the Clamp, as shown in the enlarged view above.
6) The Utility Manifold has all the water hose and airline fittings installed and is ready to be
populated with the electrical cables, water hoses and airlines from the Carriage.

Secure the Utility Mount to the
Middle Frame Leg on the same
side as the CAT Track and
Equipment Room.

Locate Utility Manifold, remove the
Half Clamp, apply anti-seize and
Teflon tape to the bolt threads.
