Chapter 5 Getting Started
Installation Overview
Working Envelope: Overview
Width
Ideal bay width is 16’-0 to 20’-4”. Minimum bay width is a 14’-9” wide (contact your
Belanger® Sales Representative for additional options if this is a restriction).
Length
Ideal bay length for the available frame lengths are as follows:
37’-9” for a 32’ Frame
35’-9” for a 30’ Frame
33’-9” for a 28’ Frame
Contact your Belanger® Sales Representative for additional options if this is a
restriction.
Height
OPERATION Minimum operating bay height is 132”. Maximum recommended
vehicle height is 82” (contact your Belanger® Sales Representative for additional
options if this is a restriction).
INSTALLATION Ideally, for installation, the bay should provide at least enough
height clearance to raise the bottom of the head beams 127” off the floor with 2
forklifts. See Building Height Considerations on page 5-7 of this chapter.
Before installing the frame, be sure to read this entire chapter to understand the
width, length and height considerations that may affect how the Cube® Carriage
Assembly is loaded onto the Cube® Frame Assembly.
Heating system is to be installed in accordance with local codes. Radiant heating
system to be installed properly, taking into consideration that brush material, covers,
etc. are combustible materials and require apporpriate clearance distance/shielding
per the heating system manufacturers instructions.
Utility Requirements
Air:
Capable of 5 SCFM at 100 psi
Water:
2” water meter at 40 psi
1” feed to Injection Chemical System (ICS)
3/4” feed to High Pressure (HP) Pumps
Electrical:
90 amps total at 208V with HP Pumps
65 amps total at 208V without HP Pumps
3-phase to Carriage Panel with at least 40amp breaker inline
3-phase to Building Panel with at least 50amp breaker inline
3-phase to Building Panel with at least 15amp breaker inline without HP Pumps
120vac to Carriage Panel with at least 15amp breaker inline
120vac to Building Panel with at least 15amp breaker inline
The Cubcarwash should have a 2” water meter at 60PSI or 1-1/2” meter at 60PSI to
supply the entire system.
