Chapter 6 Frame and Carriage Assembly
Carriage Placement on Frame Assembly: Alternate Method
If there is limited space, less than 68-1/4” between the interior wall at the bay entrance and the front
of the Entrance Legs Footplate, to raise the Carriage and load it onto the Entrance Rails the Alternate
Placement Method must be used. In the Alternate Method the Carriage Assembly will need to be
loaded onto the Exit Rails instead.
1) The Entrance Rail without the CAT Track Supports will need to be temporarily removed from
the Frame Assembly in order to raise the Carriage and load it onto the Exit Rails.
2) On the Entrance L-Bracket and Middle L-Bracket remove the fasteners that secure the
specified Entrance Rail to the L-Brackets. Set the Rail and Fasteners aside.
The Entrance Rail without the
CAT Track Supports will need to
be removed to load the
Carriage.
