Chapter 19 Initial Startup Procedure of Cube®
6) Inspect and Adjust Chemical and Water Delivery Systems
6a) Confirm Proper Function of ICS Pump
1) Run the main water supply to flush out any contaminants before connecting the Main Water
Hose to the ICS Pump.
2) Check for proper rotation of the ICS Pump Motor 3 Phase Motor:
a. Be sure power is disconnected to motor when
working on electrical connections.
b. Remove the motor end cover, exposing motor
shaft. Momentarily start pump. If hookup is correct,
the shaft will rotate clockwise.
c. If rotation is not clockwise, reverse any two leads
to the starter. The rotation will now be correct.
3) Rename all outputs on the ICS that require renaming in
the HMI.
4) Check the flow of each application to ensure proper function and that the chemical is being
pulled through all the ICS Injectors.
5) Run each water/chemical application for two minutes without nozzles to clean out any debris
that may be in the manifolds or lines.
6b) Rename any outputs necessary for operating MixStir®. Setup and operate
each MixStir® to confirm proper operation and flush system.
Note: Do not install Spray Nozzles before flushing the lines and manifold out for each application.
