II. START-UP
A. Turning on the Reverse Osmosis Unit:
1) Flip the toggle switch on the control panel to the power on position. (up)
2) Unit will start in the low-pressure flush cycle (indicated by the green light flashing
continually on control box) for approximately two (2) minutes.
3) After the unit completes the low-pressure flush cycle it will begin producing spot- free
water SEE TABLE 3 ON NEXT PAGE FOR CORRECT PRESSURES AND FLOWS
(green light will be on steady). Flow Meters are read on the widest part of the floating
indicator portion of the flow meter on unit models 1000 to 4500gpd. On 6000gpd Models
and higher, Product flow meters are read from the top of the indicator. Reject Flow
Meters on larger units are the same as on the smaller units.
4) Reject water should be set to specification. SEE TABLE 3 FOR
CORRECT REJECT RATE BASED ON MODEL NUMBER.
5) Pump pressure should always be set at 180psi. SEE TABLE 3 FOR ALL OTHER
SETTINGS.
NOTE: Pump Pressure and Reject Flow adjustment changes will affect one
another. It is not unusual to require a few adjustments of each to get both in
specification.
6) If any of your pressures or flow rates do not conform to the criteria set in
Chart 1, please call the factory at (800) 882-8854.
Note: Do not install Spray Nozzles before flushing the lines and manifold out for each application.
