The decay time parameter corresponds to the discharge time-constant
of the s

measurement. The decay time can be changed within its
setting range.
Setting range for the time-constant of the decay time:
Minimum: 0.1 s Maximum: 9.9 s Step size: 0.1 s
Works presetting 5.0 s
Advice for setting the decay time:
A longer decay time tends to smooth out fast changes in the signal
progression. The measured s
max
value will be maintained at a higher value
than with a shorter decay time. The decay time should be set at least 100
times longer than the rise time.
