5. Operation
The following description relates primarily to usage of the FSA 050 as a stand-alone unit. Bluetooth operation
of the FSA050 is described in the Online Help of the CompacSoft[plus] software. Installation of the
CompacSoft[plus] software on a computer is described in sec. 5.13.
i If the FSA status is set in the SETUP menu, FSA 050 blocks the insulation test and the display/deletion of the
stored results in Stand-alone mode.

5.1 SETUP menu
The SETUP menu enables users to set values for use
with the various FSA 050 functions. In the following
table, the symbols and their significance are described
in the order in which they are displayed.

SETUP – Setting status
1. Set the rotary switch to <SETUP> (fig. 2, pos. 6).

2. Press <TEST> (fig. 2, pos. 1) for approx.
twoseconds.
The status of the FSA 050 changes.
The buzzer sounds briefly.
The lock symbol on the LCD flashes.
3. Briefly pressing <TEST> changes the status (FSA/
STA) of the FSA 050.
4. Press </OK> to store the desired value
(fig. 2, pos. 2).
The desired value has been stored when the lock
symbol disappears from the LCD.
SETUP – Setting values
1. Set the rotary switch to <SETUP>.

for four seconds and then
The status of the FSA 050 (FSA or STA).
2. Briefly press <TEST> once.
The first symbol and its value are displayed
(bU2).
3. The next symbol is displayed by briefly pressing
<TEST> once.
4. Keep briefly pressing <TEST> until the display shows
the symbol for which the value is to be altered.
5. Press <TEST> for roughly one second until the lock
symbol on the LCD flashes.
6. Keep briefly pressing <TEST> until the desired value
is displayed.
i While ever the lock symbol is flashing, the value
displayed has not been stored.
7. Press </OK> to store the desired value.
The desired value has been stored when the lock
symbol disappears from the LCD.
