Scale 1 - Calibration – Conversion
Conv Factor:
The Conv Factor (conversion factor) is a number that the Base Units (or Conv Units)
must be multiplied by to obtain the Custom unit of measurement.
For example:
Water weighs 8 lb per 1 Gallon.
To compute the conversion factor, you would divide 1 gallon by 8 pounds, with the
result being 0.125.
Therefore, if the weight displayed were 27.65 lb, pressing the UNITS key would
change the display to show 3.45625 gal. (27.65 x 0.125 = 3.45625). The gal. in
the example stands for gallons. Refer to the Custom Label next prompt for information
on entering the custom units label.
With the Scale 1 – Calibration – Conversion screen displayed the current setting for the
Conv Factor: parameter will be shown. If the setting displayed is acceptable, proceed
to the next parameter.
Otherwise, use the numeric keys to enter the conversion factor and then press the
Down Arrow to advance to the next parameter or press the ENTER key to save the new
setting and return to the previous screen. Note that the conversion factor cannot exceed
7 digits (including the decimal point).
Sec Interval:
With the Scale 1 – Calibration – Conversion screen displayed the current setting for the
Sec Interval: parameter will be shown. If the setting displayed is acceptable,
proceed to the next parameter. NOTE: If using multiples intervals, this is the low
interval.
Otherwise, use the numeric keys to enter the interval (or minimum increment of weight
reading) and then press the Down Arrow to advance to the next parameter or press
the ENTER key to save the new setting and return to the previous screen. Allowable
values are 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 or 100.
Sec Interval Dec:
With the Scale 1 – Calibration – Conversion screen displayed the current setting for the
Sec Interval Dec: parameter will be shown. If the setting displayed is acceptable,
press the ENTER key to proceed to the next screen or the Navigation Keys Left Arrow
to return to the previous screen.
Otherwise, use the numeric keys to enter the interval decimal places and then press the
ENTER key to save the new setting and proceed to the next screen. Allowable values
are 0 to 5.
