becomesextremelyhot.Allowareatocoolbeforeservicingorworkingneartheexhaustsystemcom-
ponents.

Duringtheautoregenerationprocessaburningor“hot”odormaybepresent.
Theoperatormaycontinuetooperatethemachinenormallyduringtheautoregenerationprocess.Whenengineload
ishighenoughregenerationmayhappen.Iftheloaddrops,regenerationmaystopearly.
Theautoregenerationprocesswilllastapproximately5–20minutesdependingontheamountofParticulateMatter
(PM)intheDPFandcurrentmachineoperations.
