4-OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONS
Normalenginestarting
1.Adjusttheseatandfastentheseatbelt.
2.Makesuretheparkingbrakeisapplied,thedirectionalcontrolleverisinneutral,andtheenginehandthrottle(if
equipped)isinthelowidleposition.
3.TurnthekeyswitchtotheONpositionandwaittwotothreesecondsfortheinstrumentclustertoself-checkand
powerup.
4.Waitfortheenginepre-heatlamptoturnoff.
5.Pushthefootthrottle1/4downandturnthekeyswitchtotheSTARTpositiontoactuatethestartermotor.
6.Iftheenginestartsandstops,donotactuatethestartermotoragainuntilthestartermotorstopsturning.
NOTE:Donotoperatethestartermotormorethan30secondsatonetime.Letthestartermotorcoolfortwominutes
beforeyouactuatethestartermotoragain.
8.Aftertheenginestarts:
A.Checktheinstrumentclustertomakesurethegaugeindicationsarecorrect.
B.Runtheengineat1000RPMuntilthecoolanttemperatureiswarm.
