outsidethemachine.

Leakedorspilledfuel/oilonhotsurfacesorelectrical
componentscancauseare.
•
Sparksfromtheelectricalsystemorengineexhaust
cancauseanexplosionandre.Beforeyouoperate
themachineinanareawithammabledustorvapors,
usegoodventilationtoremovetheammabledustor
vapors.
•
Enginefuelcancauseanexplosionorre.Donotll
thefueltankwiththeenginerunning,ifyouarenearan
openre,orifyouarewelding,smoking,etc.
•
Donotweldoramecutanyitemsthatcontain
ammablematerial.Cleanitemsthoroughlywith
non-ammablesolventbeforeweldingoramecutting.
•
Alwayshaveareextinguishernearoronthemachine.
Makesurethereextinguisher(s)ismaintainedand
servicedaccordingtothemanufacturer’sinstructions.
•
Ifareextinguisherhasbeenused,alwaysrechargeor
replacethereextinguisherbeforeoperatingthema-
chine.
•
Donotexposethemachinetoames,burningbrush,
orexplosives.
•
Atleastonceeachday,andattheendoftheday,re-
movealltrashanddebrisfromthemachineespecially
aroundhotcomponentssuchasengine,transmission,
exhaust,battery,etc.Morefrequentcleaningofthema-
chinemaybenecessarydependingontheoperating
environmentandconditions.
•
Atleastonceeachday,removedebrisaccumulation
aroundmovingcomponentssuchasbearings,pulleys,
belts,gears,cleaningfan,etc.Morefrequentcleaning
ofthemachinemaybenecessarydependingonthe
operatingenvironmentandconditions.
•
Ifthemachinehasanoil,fuel,orhydraulicuidleak,
alwaysrepairtheleakandcleantheareabeforeoper-
ating.
•
Keepthecoolingsystemcleanandmaintainthecorrect
coolantlevel.
•
Donotstoreoilyragsorotherammablematerialson
themachine.
•
Inspecttheelectricalsystemforlooseconnectionsor
frayedinsulation.Repairorreplacelooseordamaged
parts.
•
Promptlyinvestigateanyunusualsmellsorodorsthat
mayoccurduringoperationofthemachine.
•
Ifyouweld,grind,oruseacuttingtorchonthemachine:

Cleantheareatoberepaired.
•
Disconnectorisolatethedrivetraincontroller.
•
Keepthegroundcablefromthewelderasneartothe
workareaaspossible.
•
Sparksoramecancausethehydrogengasinabat-
terytoexplode.Topreventanexplosion:

Connectthenegative(-)cablelast.
•
Whenconnectingboostercablestostarttheengine,
usetheprocedureshowninthismanual.
•
Donotshortcircuitthebatterypostswithmetalitems.
•
Donotweld,grind,orsmokenearthebattery.
