11.Cleantheareaaroundtheprimaryfuellterofdirt
anddebris.
12.Turntheprimaryltercounter-clockwisetoremove.
Usealterremovaltool,ifnecessary.
13.Applycleanengineoiltothenewprimarylterseal.
14.Turnthenewprimarylterclockwiseontothelter
headuntiltheltergasketmakescontactwiththe
lterbody.
15.Continuetotightentheprimarylterandadditional
1/2to3/4turn.

16.Tightenthefueltankcap.
17.Disposeoftheltersandcollecteduidinaccor-
dancewithlocal,regional,andfederalregulations.
NOTICE:Airinthefuelsystemcausesexcessiveenginecrankingbeforetheenginestarts.Itiscrucialthatallairbe
removedfromthesystem.
