Cleaning the
Outer Cover
1. If the outer cover of the illuminator needs cleaning or
disinfecting, wipe the outer cover of the illuminator with a soft cloth
dampened with the applicable solution.
2. Use a soft cloth dampened with water to remove the
solution.
Cleaning
the Tray
!
CAUTION
Only use approved solutions to clean/disinfect the tray; otherwise,
damage may occur.
The tray should be inspected at least monthly for cleanliness or damage. If it is
dirty or there is a blood spill, clean following the directions below:
1. Open the front door of the illuminator.
2. Pull out the drawer.
3. Open the tray cover.
4. Clean the plastic container tray including the corners, gently
but thoroughly, with an approved solution using a soft cloth.
You may lift the tray out of the illuminator drawer (optional).
5. Use a soft cloth dampened with water to remove the solution.
6. Dry the surface of the tray and make sure no streaks can be
seen.
7. Put the tray back into the drawer if removed.
8. Close the drawer cover.
9. Push the drawer back into the illuminator.
10. Close the door of the illuminator.
WARNING
If the blood product leaks into the tray, tilting the drawer could
cause the blood product to spill out. If the tray is above the
operator’s eye level, the operator should wear eye protection when
tilting the drawer.

CAUTION
If any part of the illuminator tray is damaged (cracked, scratched
or cloudy) contact your authorized service representative for a
replacement. Do not use the illuminator if the tray is damaged.
