Power Management
If you have max inputs 3 configured with four “good” (220 V) inputs and you limit the user to 5500 W
instead of 7600 W and one subunit fails or is powered off, you have three quality inputs providing 5500
W and the chassis is powered at the same rate as it was prior to the failure event:

Command Purpose
Step 1
Switch# configure terminal
Enters configuration mode.
Step 2
Switch(config)# power redundancy combined max
inputs {2 | 3}
Limits the power usage to two or three
inputs.
Note The maximum inputs part of the
command is ignored by all power
supplies other than the 4200 W AC or
6000 W AC.
Step 3
Switch(config)# end
Exits configuration mode.
