If you are not getting the whole image scanned on your Contex scanner, check in your scanning application that your size settings are either for Auto detection or correspond to the size of the whole original. Also, check that you are loading the original correctly in relation to your choice of Center-loading or Side-loading.

What to do if I can’t operate Contex GX67D Scanner after a firmware upgrade failure?
    • L
      Linda SanchezAug 31, 2025
If you can’t operate or contact the Contex scanner after a Firmware upgrade failure, likely due to a power interruption, you need to bring the scanner into firmware boot mode to reapply the firmware. You can also try to restart the scanner. Turn the scanner ON so it starts its Init-Sequence and activate the boot mode before the scanner moves into self-adjustment. On scanners with SCSI interface, you can force firmware boot mode by setting the DIL switch 7 to ON.

Then, shut down scanner power and restart to initialize with the smart card data.

Why are the Paper Ready lights RED on my Contex Scanner?
    • R
      Rebecca ChristensenAug 29, 2025
If the Paper Ready lights on your Contex scanner are RED, it could be because the pressure-platen is in a thick media setting but the scanner does not detect the media. If you are scanning thick media, insert the thick media into the scanner. Repeat the steps for correct adjustment for thick media.
