To automatically set lower alarm limits, press the HOME key to display the Main screen, then
perform the following navigation bar options:
In the User configuration menu, select NEXT to scroll to LOWER ALARM LIMITS and select
AUTO. Select NEXT to scroll to the channel or channels to be changed, and INCREASE and
DECREASE options to adjust the variance value or values. The options for percentage below
baseline are 5% to 30%.
When finished, press the HOME key to exit the User configuration menu and return to the
Main screen. On the Main screen, the new alarm limit is displayed (numerical and graphical).
Note:
The INVOS™ system will remain in Auto lower alarm mode with the selection of a new patient. However,
the lower alarm limits when selecting a new patient are set to default=40 prior to baseline capture.
Note:
If the variance value or values are changed for a channel subsequent to setting the baseline, the lower
alarm limit for the corresponding channel will be automatically changed to reflect the change in the
variance value.
Manual Lower Alarm Limits
To manually change the lower alarm limits, press the HOME key to display the Main screen,
then perform the following navigation bar options:
In the User configuration menu, select NEXT to scroll to LOWER ALARM LIMITS and select
MANUAL. Use the INCREASE and DECREASE options to adjust the alarm limit. The lower alarm
limit range is 15–90.
