VITA 46 P1 Fabric
Connector
The P1 connector on the CHAMP-AV8 supports the following functions/interfaces:
• V46 Fabric Connections (Four 4x Ports)
• Reserved Bus (BP_GDISCRETE1) signal
• VITA 46 and CHAMP-AV8 System Signals (SYSCON_L, CARD_FAIL_L, PB_RESET_L)
• Nominal 3V battery connection (VBAT)
• No Connect (NC) Signals (NC_RFU, NC_IO_RSRV)

VITA 46 P2 PCIe
Expansion
Connector
The P2 connector on the CHAMP-AV8 supports the following functions/interfaces:
• PCIe expansion plane - supports up to two eight-lane PCIe ports (see Table 1.1,
“XMC/Expansion Plane Interface Build-Time Options for PCIe,” on page 1-8 for details).

Site’s PMC User
I/O Connector
The P3 connector on the CHAMP-AV8 supports the following functions/interfaces:
• Utilized for XMC J14 user I/O as per the VITA 46.9 P64s pattern.
• No Connect (NC) Signals

Connector
The P4 connector on the CHAMP-AV8 supports the following functions/interfaces:
• CHAMP-AV8 JTAG Selection Signals (JTSEL_L, JPROC[3:0])
• Reset/Power Sequencer/JTAG CPLD JTAG Chain Signals
• CHAMP-AV8 Backplane Jumper Signals
• CHAMP-AV8 EIA-422/485 Serial Ports (RS422_[A2/B2] TX/RX)
• CHAMP-AV8 EIA-232 Serial Ports (RS232_[A0/A1/B0/B1] TX/RX)
• 1000Base-T Ports (ETH[A/B]_TRX[0:3])
• 1000Base-BX Ports (UTP[A/B] TX/RX)

VITA 46 P5 XMC
User I/O Connector
The P5 connector on the CHAMP-AV8 supports the following functions/interfaces:
• XMC Site Single Ended User I/O (38 signals) from XMC J16 connector (XMC_C[19:01]
and XMC_F[19:01])
• XMC Site Differential User I/O (8 of the 20 pairs) from XMC J16 connector
(XMC_DP[03:00] and XMC_DP[13:10])
