XMC SITE'S PMC J14 CONNECTOR
The CHAMP-AV8 incorporates an XMC site that supports legacy PMC user I/O. The XMC's
legacy PMC I/O connector location is shown in Figure A.16 and described in the following
section.
Figure A.16: Location of CHAMP-AV8 J14 Connector
XMC SITE'S PMC J14 USER I/O CONNECTOR
Table A.25 on page A-40 lists the pin assignments for the connector referenced J14. This
connector is part of the XMC site's legacy PMC user I/O, and is referenced as Pn4/Jn4 in the
PMC specification IEEE 1386.1-2001. The table maps the J14 signals to the corresponding
VITA 46/48 P3 connector pins. The signals are differentially routed between the J14 connector
and the P3 backplane connector in accordance with the P64s pattern defined in VITA
46.9d0.25. The adjacent signals in a given column on the P3 connector (e.g. J14-01 and
J14-03) are routed differentially.
The direction of the signals in the table describing the PMC J14 connector is from the point
of view of the baseboard.
