CHAMP-AV8 (VPX6-462) HARDWARE USERS MANUAL CURTISS-WRIGHT
B-2 PROPRIETARY 826448 VERSION 5 MARCH 2015
CHAMP-AV8 STATEMENT OF VOLATILITY
The CHAMP-AV8 product contains different types of memory devices. This includes the volatile
DDR3 (main memory) and several types of non-volatile memory devices. All CPU-accessible
non-volatile memory devices may be write-protected by the installation of jumpers (or
wire-wrapping of jumper posts), which are provided for this purpose.
The following Table B.1 describes all of the memory devices on the CHAMP-AV8 board and
their associated procedures for write-protection and scrubbing. "RTM" refers to the
CHAMP-AV8 Rear Transition Module, Curtiss-Wright part number RTM6-462-000.
Note
There are no battery-backed memories on the CHAMP-AV8.
Note
There are a number of ICs that contain non-volatile memory and are not accessible to either
of the CPUs. These are typically treated as hardware configuration items (i.e., on-board
power supply settings). These settings are included in the table for the sake of
completeness. However, in normal use a user cannot write data to these devices.
